Watched this show yesterday and it is funny and light hearted, though I dont find it worth e price for a weekend show. The film is directed by Monsters vs Aliens director Rob Letterman and stars Jack Black as Lemuel Gulliver, a free-spirited travel writer who, on an assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Liliput, home to a population of tiny people. Dare to be different and do what you want to do!

Soul-less office

Today I went to work as I did not utilised my xmas off.. So the office is really soul-less today, most of them on leave or off.. So we manage to drive out for McLunch and after that we spent e whole day challenging with my frens itouch games as he got alot of IQ and fast finger games.. haha.. how great will it be if evryday other is like this too!!

Housewarming

Went to ron relative housewarming on Sunday evening with ron whole family.. His cousin got married and bought a house at Tampines.. Just nice I can asked e market rate for Tampines house now.. They bought it for $410K and $18K cash, not inclusive of reno for this 5 room flat..wow really quite expensive.. And I am planning to buy Tampines area by next yr if possible.. haha hopefully I can find one at a gd location and gd price :D

Christmas Over

Wow I have been so occupied lately..Every night when I go to bed I can fall asleep within seconds till e next mrn for work..Went to have xmas dinner with rons and frens at longbeach at east coast.The dinner is great as it cost a bomb..a total of 5 adults and 1 kid we spent $429..haha..crazy price..And the weather on that day is rainy..so we cant take a stroll at e beach aft dinner..Then we went over to ron fren house and played wii till late night..

Tron Legacy

This is quite a good show to watch if you enjoy science fiction. Its also a high budget movie though they do not have alot of casts in it. I liked the story plot as its something different. 3D version is not bad, not very spectacular.. Fav Quote: Guy asked:"What should I do now?" Reply:" Try to survive." The only rule is survival!

Our Anniversary

Again ?? Haha.. We have 5 years of completed years with love.. I made Ron a card personally on top of exchanging our gifts.. We went to have dinner at NUOC at orchard central which serves vietnam food. This is my second choice. Initially I wanted to go to Salt grill but its full house till 26 Dec, will visit on V day period..

Then we went to shop around 313 and lastly went to the grand cathay to watch Tron. And when we entered the theatre, we realised its 3D but I actually bought the non 3D one..So we are quite puzzled but still carry on inside. And we are surprised the show has started too as we arrived 5 mins ahead of time. Then we realised e seats we book are taken..So I approached the couple and sais these should be my seats..So the guy took out his hp to shine and checked and then he told me one shocking thing..Your tickets are for tomorrow!! Ahhhh!! Dunno where to hide my face.. Anyway we continued to sit at other empty seats since its not full house and miss the first 15mins of e show, and Ron is rather dunno to be upset or happy about this..haha turnout to be quite an unexpected date. So now we can catch e show again tmr at 950pm for e 2D version..haha..

Tang Yuans

My favourite Tang Yuans are those without filling and dye in red, pink and orange colour ones.. They are small and chewy and boiled in the sweet longan soup with pandan leaves! I can have alot! My mum in law just cooked some yesterday night, but they are those with the peanut and sesame ones, the factory made ones. Tastes good too!!

Praying for Dong Zi

Went to a temple near Tampines with Ron and mum in law to pray for Dong Zi yesterday. We should go now before Wednesday as it gets really crowded on the actual day. This is the first time I bring Jeane to a temple, but I dont think she knows what going on. She just know bai bai and then there's alot of smoke by the incense and she keeps running about and have a good time with Jade.

Know your enemy

Girls always detest pests. So how do u get free of them if they are at your house?

Apparently, ants dont like sour stuff, mosquitoes detest vitamins and cockroaches dont do fragrances. So to repel ants, squeeze fresh lemon juice or lemon slices on surfaes where they'll pass. To prevent getting bitten by mosquitoes, dissolve vitamin c and B2 in water, then wipe the solution on ur skin for a scent tat mozzies hate..but where e hell do i get B2? Whats that? haha.. For roaches, put small pcs of soap in a container of water. Place this where e dirty buggers hang out. Try these tips oh to get rid of kakas!!

My fav Donut store

I always wont miss the donut when I went pass this store. Its is so gooood. My favourite is the peanut/mint dark chocolate ring. Its is simple, chocolaty and delicious, I dont really like the fanciful ones. So far I only know 3 outlets, in Suntec, Novena and Tiong Bahru. Wish they would have more outlets! So I can always get to eat them.

2010 National Geographic Photography

Singaporean photographer Aaron Lim has taken the Grand Prize in National Geographic’s annual photo contest under nature category.

He trumped more than 16,000 other entries with his picture of trekkers watching Gunung Rinjani, a volcano on the island of Lombok, Indonesia, erupt as the sun rose at the break of dawn.

Freelance photographer and contest judge Joel Sartore said on National Geographic, “This image best represented the craft of photography. Not only is the light subtle and beautiful, and not only is it a lovely scene, but there’s a volcanic eruption going on in the background.”

National Geographic magazine senior photo editor and judge Sadie Quarrier added that combining multiple images into one stitched image “gives us a wide, powerful, and unique view.”

What Xmas present??

Its time to think about what to get for his anniversary cum xmas gift, so fast just left 8 days only. Its always very hard to know what he needs and what he likes best, so if I ask him then it will not be a surprise anymore. I also need to think of where to go to eat for xmas celebration dinner. We must celebrate in advance instead of e actual day.

Critical Decision

Today at my workplace, I am finally given a choice to end my bond. I just need to wait 3 months to be out processed and pay around $15K or more for the LD. Should I or should I not?
Its so hard to choose, I am tempted to leave my work scope but it also feel so pain to part with at least $15K which I could use to go travelling or save for my kids. And I also need to find another job too. Hard decision!!

H&M store a BIG hit

Singapore first H&M store will open next September. This brand is a big hit among many famous actresses and people usually will fly to HongKong and never give this store a miss. Items are always sold out fast and price cost ard $150 onwards. Looking forward to this shop in Orchard next year!! heard its taking over california fitness building...

Have a stick and it taste weird, not very sweet. Haha.
Its quite expensive, one box of 18 at ard SGD$20.

Sexy Thai Food

Went to bugis with Ron's and his colleagues to try out this Thai restaurant open by Pornsak. Food is nice but quantity is very small. The restaurant is nice and cozy. And Pornsak is at the cashier counter. We are also given a seat where we are facing him directly..haha..After that we went to shop ard Bugis Junction and village and got a top. Then we went to eat the famous Ah Qiu dessert shop which is indeed very crowded. Had a few desserts and head home (",)

Pig Rabbit Fan

"Pig Rabbit" (or dwaeji t'okki in Korean) arose out of a nickname that Tae Kyung had for Mi Nam in You're Beautiful. The plush version was created when he cannibalized two stuffed animals to produce a bunny with a pig snout. i just got e hp strap with the mini bunny on it from the mama shop under my block. When I see it, I bought it immediately!! So cute...

Gifts from Japan

My brother got back from Japan yesterday midnight and got me a few items. I really love the stitch plush though I collect figurine mostly and I didn't even know its actually on top of mt fuji..

So cute!!! The Shiseldo screen looks good too. Food wise abit not used to it, tried the green tea pokky and kitkat and taste quite weird..haha

Fatter Bonus this year

We finally get to have more bonus this year compared to last year..But its always so hard to save money, I hope I am able to save 30% of my total at the end of the month. Hee. Its always very hard to resist the urge to buy clothes or things I like. Or eat good food. Share with me if you got good savings tips :D

SG Toys Games n Comic Convention

Went with Jade today to my fav toys yearly event. This year there are even more sellers than last year one. Got a few good items today and took some pics too! After that we went to the Book Fest which is at suntec too. Lotsa books and people queuing up to pay for items is crazy. When I joined the queue there are about 100 ppl in front of me.. And they each have like more than 30 items each..Seems like $2 per book like that.. Madness.. Guess they will be earning alot of money.. haha.. And i just got 3 books for Jade :D Had a good day outside rather than just staying at home..

StoryTelling Books

Went to Times to find some story book for Jeane this time. Thou she dont like storybooks as much as Jade but I still buy to slowly start cultivating her reading habit.. Jeane loves music ALOT and dancing too..Sleep Tight totally describe how Jeane treated us at night before she falls asleep, so I super like this book. I got it without hesitation. The Nice bear Naughty bear teachers manners of what is being good and what is being naughty..thou the bear not that cute but still a good guidance book.

Hello SATURDAY

Finally ended a week of work...My fav day of the whole week is Saturday! Cos sunday is a non working day and I finally can sleep later...Saturday is stress free and carefree...I love Saturday most!

After watching recent korean shows, the actor in the show always drink bottled ice mineral water like this. So I went to cold storage and got one and have a taste of sparkling lemon flavor mineral water.. Nothing fascinating actually, jus look cool and cost exp at $2.10 for 330ml.

Xi Men Ding

Today i had dinner with my ex colleagues at Raffles City. The basement has changed alot as I hasnt been there for quite some time,and it is now packed with lotsa foodies. It is actually able to link to esplanade now, so much more convenient. I tried the Xi Men Ding restaurant which I felt is rather expensive and then we had dessert at Dong Ji which tastes so so too. They have other restaurants like Awfully chocolate, canele, skinny pizza etc...Yumm

Strangers in Life

Went out with Kailun and Baochan for lunch, dinner and watched this show. It is very funny and light hearted, you should watch this if you are into comedy and romance. I always feel its fascinating to know how two people, strangers, will meet each other and fall in love in their life. Are cupids really around?? I believe there will be all sorts of unexpected ways.. Hope all my single friends will find their special stranger in their lives one day soon..

New Office

Today I went to report to my new office. So i met with my new boss and new colleagues, though i have not spoke to all of the people in my new office. Too many of them. It is again not alot of things for me to do and this place actually ban people from using psp on office hours. Oh gosh...SO now I really only can READ books. I wonder how many books would I have finished after 365 days..haha..

My new boss also tell me a story for welcoming me to work. He used babies in his story. He said ppl always like to touch or play with cute, squeezable and huggable babies and what would i do if i see a baby whose face is full of hair. Will people still accept and love the hairy baby? So he said his job as a boss is to take care of his people and not to discriminate anyone. He said he heard alot about my story but he will not care about such things. So he just said he hope I will not be the hairy baby where others will comment or scold. Quite a nice story right? haha.. I am quite inspired by it.

Recently I am so addicted to durian pancakes, I have around 20 in one month.. haha.. Its really nice at AMK four seasons durian.. but as its quite far, I am too lazy to go there just to get one..so I always got one at northpoint which is not as good but still can satisfy my cravings (>__<)

365 DAYS

I got this diary as christmas presents for Kailun and Baochan and started our day 1 yesterday. We decided to complete this book and at e end of 365 days, we will exchange and read what each of us have been going through and thinking about for the whole year. And at e end of this book, it also mean my career is coming to an end and I may then commence a new lease of my life. Got it from kikki and its good cos its not dated and we can start from page one at any time of the year.

RIP Kenny

This morning at work, I was surprised to hear that one of my instructor who had guided during my course had passed away this morning. Its is really shocking as he is still young at 28 and a very nice person. I hope his family is coping well and may he be blessed in heaven!

Books are Fun

I asked Yiru what she wants for christmas present, so I gave her 3 choices. One is toys, then clothes and lastly books. And I am quite surprised she chose books over toys. Maybe she is teacher calibre in future?? haha.. So I went to my fav book hunting ground and bought her 2 great books: Mad at Mommy and Listen to the rain! Hope she will like it when I give it to her :D

I am a romance comedy novel and drama fan.. So do romance novels reflect what love should be, or what we would like it to be? To me, real life is a far cry from the fantasy of most romance novels. But that's the fun. The fantasy is a "safe" heightened reality.. They are my escape for a bit of free time!!

Movie with Jade

I went to watch Rapunzel with Jade. It is a funny and beautiful show. Graphics are clear and colourful. 85% of the theatre is filled with kids. Lotsa laughter and surprises. I also finally get to try the re-furnished Yishun GV and its so much better!! Jade always love cartoons, unlike Jeane, no patience to sit for long.

Fri Evening Inspiration

I hope all will have a fab weekend. Above is a wall sculpture by federico uribe made from 200 second-hand books. Its amazing how people turn daily items into extraordinary pieces of art. I like this more as i love books and art.

Kki

Kki has cakes for a light bite – the smell of coffee is filling the room. We have 2 cakes and I’m quite sure I am in heaven. There's also a accessories store in it to buy fun things.

Fun Filled Day

Yesterday i spend a quality day with Ron, took a break for ourselves...I went to pay visit to my mum and grandma, have lunch at QunZhong and Kki...Watched Skyline and then have dinner at katong and finally end my day at ktv with ron's family and Jade!! I'm glad Jade loves KTV and enjoyed herself and sang two nursery rhymes twinkle little stars and chinese two tigers...Woo!!
