The once Turquoise Room

The Turquoise Room has ceased operations in Sg since 15 Jun 08 cos the owners Jason, Jordan & Rivy will be migrating to Australia.

Turquoise means “where the blue sky meets the green sea”.

I used to be there once with Ron in May and it happened to be a rainy afternoon.They served European Food and I liked their self-recipe fish cakes. We managed to take 2 pics of this place.

The Turquoise Room is a hidden treasure with its whitewashed floors, French windows, whimsical turquoise swirls on the wall, custom-made furnitures and an interior intentionally left unfinished, its understated style and casual demeanour make it versatile enough to host the most romantic of dates and the rowdiest of families.

This place is now taken over by VERVE which is an Italian Bar and Bistro. Who have tried it?

Money Not Enough 2

I watched this sneak at The Cathay today and the ticket cost $8.50, cheaper than GV ticket which cost $10..Haha..cos Money not enough ma..

This movie have come at a good time as it speaks of Singaporeans' current economic plight. The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Inflation at an all-time high, stocks showing poor results,money is truly not enough. This show starts with lotsa ERP gentries, and move into the 3 brothers lives up and down. It also portray great mother love and have very touching parts showing how their mother sacrifices and suffers because of them, which is quite true in today's society. Sure cry for the emotional ladies!! A Good show I must say aft you have a hard day, to relax and laugh! ~Cheese~

I've watched It Started With A Kiss drama series one, superb! Handsome Jiang Zhi Shu and cute Xiang Qin are very compatiable. The story started with an earthquake which destroyed Xiang Qin's house, she and her father moved in with the family of her father's college buddy, Uncle Ah Li. To her surprise, the kind and amicable aunt and uncle are the parents of her cold and distant schoolmate Jiang Zhi Shu, a genius with an IQ of 200 whom not too long ago rejected her endless crush on him. In the end its a sweet ending, she managed to win Zhi Shu's heart! They Kiss Again drama series Two has been out for quite sometime but price hasn't dipped..I think I cant wait anymore, gotta get the DVD asap..thou watching online is free.haha..

This story begins with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu's wedding and honeymoon. Even aft marriage, they experience problems and interferences within their marriage such as mistaken pregnancy, misunderstandings, and a run-in with a girl from Zhi Shu's past. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu switch to medical school to become nurse and doctor. During that time, Zhi Shu meets new rivals who wish to outdo him and Xiang Qin makes four new friends, and one of them likes her and wishes to replace Zhi Shu. How will their lives turn out to be? Total Solar Eclipse, 1 Aug 2008 Friday

A total solar eclipse will darken some of Earth's skies on Friday,in the northeastern edge of Canada, the tip of Greenland, parts of Russia, China and Mongolia, including the famed Gobi desert.

"It's so rare and unusual, it's unfortunate to pass up any chance," said NASA astrophysicist Fred Espenak, who has been chasing eclipses since 1970. Espenak will be in northern China to watch it with a tour group.

Next year's total solar eclipse _ July 22, 2009 _ will be more southern and last the longest of the 21st Century: 6 minutes, 39 seconds. But it will be during monsoon season and can be seen, only if the weather cooperates, in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, China and the Pacific Ocean.

For those who cannot see the real total solar eclipse this Friday, it will be screened live on internet. It reaches its peak at 7:09 a.m. EDT and will last 2 mins and 27 secs.

Another classic toy worth waiting for

Noferin is the product of two artist/writers from Melbourne, Australia named Candy and Nicho. They have created an idyllic world on the mythical Carrara Island, populated by deadpan cute characters. Candy is a self-trained designer and painter; Nicho is a writer who is studying Environmental Science.

Created by Noferin, these series of handcrafted wooden-figures are charming and a such a pleasant delight to behold!
Pecanpals stand between from 4.5 to 8 inches in height and the full-colored versions are limited to 200-pcs per character worldwide .

It is scheduled for 2008-release ... not sure of actual date but...at least this is must-get items for 2008!!

I finally watched this show aft seeing Part 1 on DVD and I enjoyed Part 2 more with its signature blend of action, humor and characters.Bigger muscle, badder weapons and more ungodly villains from Toro of Pan's Labyrinth. Creatures such as the tooth fairy, wink, angel of death, beanstalk and other more are really unique and something different.

Ice-Bat is decked out in his special singing hat as well as those pink angel wing mittensEqually surprising was the announcement (and display of) the mini Uglydoll "action figures". They appear to be about 1/3 the height of the Uglydoll Kaiju line.
